The 4-Step Hiring Process utilized takes into account every aspect of the consultant’s skills from their technical knowledge and education to their communication and presentation skills. Almost every individual that is a part of RKMC’s internal operations has the opportunity to aid in the 4-Step Hiring Process:

The 4-Step Hiring Process:

  • Talent Recruitment (Technical Recruiters) – The recruitment process starts with targeting experienced professionals in the industry. We only work with prestigious universities, professional institutions, as well as training and certification organizations to find the best talent. Our Technical Recruiters will schedule an initial interview with each candidate to review their resume and credentials. The objective of this interview is to ensure that the candidate has good communication skills and can speak to their past work experiences. The Technical Recruiters will also complete background checks and drug tests for each potential candidate. It is up to the Technical Recruiters to pass the candidate on to the next step,
  • Technical Screenings/Interviews (Technical Consultants) – We invite each of our potential candidates to our headquarters in Oakbrook Terrace, IL for an office visit. We have a panel of technical consultants onsite who meet with each candidate individually and technically screen them based on their level/years of experience. Depending upon the technology and level of the consultant, a written test may also be administered. The objective of this screening is to ensure that the consultant is technically skilled at or above the level they say they are at.
  • Management Interviews (Senior Managers/Practice Directors) – After the technical interview is complete each potential candidate is invited to interview with a Senior Manager or Practice Director. The objective of this interview is to ensure that the candidate has the ability to be flexible and scaleable in any client environment, within their discipline. This interview is also a good indication of how the candidate will communicate with the client and upper-management at the client site.
  • Challenging Assignments/Checkpoints/Continuing Training (Human Resources) – After RKMC presents an offer and it is accepted by the candidate, we ensure that they are placed in a professional and challenging environment where they also receive the opportunity to grow professionally. RKMC schedules monthly checkpoints with each consultant to ensure that things are on track and to take care of any issues that may be present. We also encourage our consultants to complete certification exams or additional training once every year.
