Syed is an Oracle Certified Hyperion Essbase Developer with HSBC in Chicago, IL. He comes from an extensive background in technology design, development, and delivery. In his past 8 years of experience in developing OLAP systems, he has worked for organizations such as Ness Technologies, Dell, Stiefel Laboratories, etc. Syed is responsible for the project deliverables across regional and global HSBC operations such as United States, United Kingdom, and Hong Kong. The project at HSBC is a modern, multi-component integrated system solution that supports the Finance reporting needs. It provides Finance with a controlled, single-source repository for regulatory, management, and financial reporting. This project allows a user to view more financial data than available with previous systems while using a Windows-based interface equipped with drop-down menus and tabbed screens. As a developer, Syed has been involved with the project in the nascent stages and has been instrumental in building a robust, secure and compliant Essbase OLAP system that not many companies can boast of. Some of the components have been deployed successfully at locations other than Hong Kong supporting over 1400 users. |
