Responsibilities Include:

  • Participate in the analysis of Business and functional requirements in backlog refinement sessions to analyze stories for upcoming Sprint. Backlog refinement sessions include identifying dependencies on other Agile teams and communicating it to them.
  • Identifying UX design dependencies and be involved in design collaboration meetings to have the design patterns meet the business requirements.
  • Work with Product Owners, Solution Architects and Business Analysts in refinement sessions to refine stories and discussed in the backlog refinement session to finalize on the high-level design.
  • Develop front-end UI applications using Angular 5, JavaScript, TS-Script, JQuery, Html5, SASS, CSS3, Jasmine, Karma and Protractor frameworks.
  • Write Selenium Unit tests to ensure the proper functioning of the JavaScript or TypeScript codes.
  • Write Protractor end-to-end tests to ensure the frontend functionality does not break as the complexity of the application grows.
  • Identify and write custom Angular directives that can be reused on various pages of the application.
  • Modularize SASS codes and develop the custom-built fluid layout in such a way that the design is fluid across all resolutions and browsers in production.
  • Work on build tools like Gradle and Maven for API’s and NPM, grunt and web-pack for client-side applications.
  • Develop Server-Side web API’s using Java J2EE, Spring, Hibernate, Jackson, JBoss, Tomcat, SOAP, REST, XML/XLS, JSON, Hibernate, Memcached and other Technologies.
  • Develop SQL queries and store procedures in Oracle database to fetch database information and also created Liquibase scripts to maintain SQL changes for version control.
  • Write JUnit tests to auto test the server-side code to ensure the functionalities do not break when an extra logic is later added.
  • Manage API instances (pods) in Open Shift, Docker, Kubernetes and ZooKeeper.
  • Managing, branching and merging code using Git (Bitbucket, GitHub) and completing code review’s and approving Pull Requests to ensure code coding standards are met.
  • Write hardware interface code that connects the application to the Sig-pad that is used in the stores.
  • Periodically deploy the code in the test environment and deliver the code for QA. Work with the environment team to fix any issue during deployment.
  • Make decisions with other team members on the Git branching strategy to effectively use the available test swim lanes.
  • Demo a working User Story to the business stakeholders and analyze the feedback with other team members to work on it in the next Sprint.
  • Create a low level design document in the wiki once the story is done to have reference for triaging sessions and also to have knowledge base for each application.

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or in a Related Technical Field with 2 years of experience in a related occupation is required.
